Entering the fourth year of partnership between SMK N 3 Singaraja and SATUN TECHNICAL COLLEGE THAILAND has accomplished some activities to improve competencies of students and teachers of both parties. As an Ex-benchmarking vocational school and then selected among 300 National best achievement vocational schools, SMK N 3 Singaraja is undertaking the sequel MOU that signed on August 2012 to extend or renewal the first MOU .
The annual agenda “Students teachers exchange program Indonesia-Thailand” was surpassed by SEA Edunet 2.0 : E-collaborative learning using Project Based Learning program conducted by SEAMOLEC/SEAMEO sent a teacher and a student of SMK N 3 Singaraja Mr. Kt Kemahyasa and Ayu Baligiantari to Philipines as a teacher expert mentoring the program at one of the school in Davao Philipines.
The programs above contribute some advantages in academic and non academic. The Cross culture understanding is one target of the program followed by curriculum exchange in relevance department.
Meanwhile nearly two weeks Two teachers and three students of Satun Technical College are undergoing the students-teachers exchange program, They are Mr.Piyapong Sungwal The Head of Computer Program, Mr.Pisut Weerakitikul a teacher of Basic computer , The students are Miss Wanatchaya Chareonsilawart, Miss Praphattra Khan Khaw , Miss Suphattra san – Ae. They are studying at Computer network and Multi Media , and joining extracurricular in the afternoon. On Friday and Saturday are acquainted with Balinese tradition and some tourism destinations around Bali.
At the end of the period ,Seminar held on September 19th 2013 to evaluate accomplishment through open discussion between the management of SMK N 3 Singaraja and delegation of Satun Technical College. Some agreements obtained in discussion namely :
- 1. Students teachers exchange programs is continued annually.
- 2. The students and teachers delegating the institution treated as regular participants of school visited.
- 3. Acquaintance of culture, tradition, customary and tourism destinations from both countries.
- 4. Improving vocational Curriculum adopted from both parties in relevance to match the demand of Industries.
- 5. Improving English speaking skills to ease communication and equips the graduates to compete in global market.
The next day Farewell party held openly in Basket ball field of SMK N3 Singaraja attended by all students, teachers and school managements. The event showed dances from both countries which impressed audience. The farewell party honorably closed by a speech of The Head department of High and Vocational education Division Mr. Ketut Arjana who supported the program attentively. He suggested The headmaster of SMK N3 Singaraja Drs. I Nyoman Suastika M.Pd to keep running The program and projected the budget subsidized by Government. He also committed to fund the students teachers exchange program planned to conduct next year.
